When we attended our first Marriage Enrichment weekend we had been married about fifteen years.  After the first ten years we had experienced some extremely challenging times, but had worked our way through them.  We were both ready to learn some new communication skills and gain other tools to make our marriage stronger and better.  We did not know what to expect from that first weekend, but we were both excited to go.  It turned out to be much more wonderful and impactful than we could ever have imagined.  We learned many good things and, most importantly for us, we were finally able to begin to share our deeper feelings with each other in a loving way.  This was amazing for us, and has blessed our marriage and family for all the years since as we have continued to improve these skills.
 
We are coming up on fifty years of marriage in two more years, and are so happy we have had the blessing of marriage enrichment to help us get where we are today. We have been blessed by serving as a leader couple for many years, even while we were still employed in our careers, Jim as a real estate appraiser and Terrie as an elementary school teacher, and while we still had our five children at home. We took a break in 2011 when we were privileged to serve as senior missionaries in Copenhagen, Denmark. We love Marriage Enrichment.  It is an inspired program that can help any couple move from where they are now to a better and richer marriage. Attending the seminar is a blessing that each couple deserves.
